Poison Control Network (PCN) Patient Registry on REDCap

The Poison Control Network (PCN) is a consortium of the 13 government poison control centers of the Philippines:

• Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center Poison Control Unit
• Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital Poison Control Unit
• Eastern Avenue Medical Center Toxicology Referral and Training Center
• Rizal Medical Center Poison Control Unit
• Batangas Medical Center Poison Control Center
• Bicol Medical Center Poison Control Unit
• Western Visayas Sanitarium Poison Control Unit
• Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital Biomarine and Toxicology Unit
• Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Poison Control Center
• Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center Poison Control Center
• Zamboanga City Medical Center Poison Control Center
• Northern Mindanao Medical Center Poison Control Center
• Southern Philippines Medical Center Poison Control and Treatment Institute

The PCN patient registry will serve as the centralized source of toxicology patient data of the 13 poison control centers for research purposes. The patient registry also aims to serve as a pesticide surveillance system so that the health (in terms of pesticide/chemical poisoning) of farmers and factory workers are monitored.

The principal investigators are  Dr. Cherie Grace Quingking, a toxicologist, public health researcher, hospital manager and clinical epidemiologist at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), Dr. Romulo de Castro, PCHRD Balik-scientist and director of University of San Agustin Center for Informatics, and Dr. Armie Gutierrez, a practicing clinical toxicologist and faculty of pharmacology in University of San Agustin.
